1. From manual workshop to semi-automatic production line
Before the reform and opening up, the outsourcing production mode of China's food industry was dominated by workshops, which mainly used manual operation for product packaging. This mode of production has low efficiency, poor product quality, high labor intensity and is easy to cause industrial accidents. The birth of the full-automatic liquid packaging machine in 1978 marked the beginning of the era of mechanized production in China. In 1979, Qingdao Brewery, the first domestic beverage enterprise, introduced foreign technology and equipment to build the first automated production line (then called the "model line"). The successful operation of the "model line" has driven the progress and development of the entire industry. Since then, various industries have followed suit and established their own production lines and assembly lines step by step.
2. From semi-automatic production line to fully automatic production line
With the continuous development and maturity of technology and the improvement of labor costs, domestic food manufacturers began to gradually use semi-automatic production lines to replace manual processing of products and subsequent packaging and sealing operations after 1980. From the middle and late 1980s to the early 1990s, China's beverage industry basically formed three industrial clusters, namely, the bottled water production base represented by Guangdong Robust, the milk powder production base represented by Shanghai Bright Dairy, and the functional dairy product base represented by Beijing Sanyuan Dairy.
Since the mid-1990s, with the accelerated development of foreign capital entering the Chinese market and the rise of the local market, the market competition has become increasingly fierce, which has also accelerated the pace of transformation and upgrading of enterprises. 20 intelligent manufacturing has become one of the strategic emerging industries vigorously advocated by the state. The Opinions on Policies and Measures to Further Promote the Healthy Development of the Logistics Industry issued in 2013 clearly pointed out that the application of intelligent logistics management technology and equipment should be actively promoted.
